When it comes to pre-made Magento frontend templates, there’s a wide variety of suppliers. Here are 3 things to look for in the template that is going to be the basis of your eCommerce adventure:
- The Magento template should match the identity you are trying to convey;
- The Magento theme should be compatible with the latest Magento version. Look out for this before you buy and also test this rigorously after you have installed the template;
- The Magento theme should be usable quickly, meaning you have to make as little modifications as possible, ideally just changing your logo.
Of course, a custom frontend design by a good Magento implementation partner will always be better but a standard template is a fast way to start when budgets are tight.
